Disney World

We took a family vacation and went to Disney World in June. What were we thinking? It was so hot and humid and talk about crowded! Every resort in Disney World was sold out. Most of the rides had around a two hour wait and one day when we went to Hollywood Studios we had decided to go check out the Toy Story ride, it was a two hour wait and the fast pass time was for 9 hours later, this was at 10:00 am, by noon all fast passes had been distributed for the day. Crazy! Usually everyday all the fast passes for everything major were gone by afternoon.

We did have a good time being together as a family though, next time we'll just remember not to go in June. Sarah didn't want to hug the characters but she was much more receptive to them this time then when she saw them at the Hong Kong Disney, amazing what a little time does. She would give them a high five and do "bones" or the hand bump, with the characters. We would try on all the hats in the various stores and resorts and she always wanted to make sure she got to try on a hat as well. She loved to pose for pictures, she is so funny, she will be smiling and laughing but if she sees a camera pointed at her she goes pretty serious, if you can get a smile in a picture it is a great thing. We were waiting for our dinner reservation at the Wilderness Lodge one night and there is a bride inside the lodge that she loved to cross, Todd waited on one side and I was on the other and she would go back and forth crossing the bridge with great determination, over and over again she crossed the bridge. There were a couple of ladies watching her and they were silently counting the times she would cross. Finally we decided we should go check on our reservation and the ladies called out that she had crossed 36 times, she would have kept going had we not stopped her to go check on dinner. The ladies said what a determined little girl she was and that she must have a strong personality and that they thought she would go far in life with that kind of determination. Todd and I smiled to ourselves and thought, if they only knew how strongwilled this little girl is. I think she will indeed definately reach any goal she sets her mind on.

Good Times

Sarah has been home with us for four months now and each day is a gift and a blessing. She continues to grow and blossom before our eyes. We are enjoying the summer days, she loves to be outside, she still isn't so sure about walking on grass but she is getting more use to it.

I love to watch how excited she gets when her dad and sisters come home from work. She squeals with delight as she runs to them with outstretched arms. I knew it wouldn't take long before she had her dad wrapped around her finger and sure enough. It just makes me smile to see them together. Sarah loves family hugs and being together. She is beautiful!!
