100 Good Wishes

Three years ago when we began the adoption we decided to follow a tradition of creating a 100 good wishes quilt. Family and friends contributed to the creation of the quilt by giving a square of material for the quilt along with a small piece of the same material to go along with a good wish that was put in a scrapbook. The quilt and scrapbook with all the good wishes will be given to Sarah when she is older so she will know how much she was loved and wanted. Over the course of these past years, we have spent alot of time reading over everyones good wishes and realize how blessed we are to have such wonderful family and friends. We appreciate your love and support. Thank you to all who contributed to this tradition, we are looking forward to introducing Sarah to all her family and friends.

We received some updated information on Sarah, her growth report says she is healthy and happy, doesn't like to cry, likes to be held and she is doing well.
We sent her a care package and received some information from the woman in China who is sending the package, she was able to find out that Chu Chao Juan aka Sarah, is now 24 lbs, 29 1/2 inches tall and she has 10 teeth. We are so excited to get our travel approval and be able to go and meet our daughter and bring her home. We hope the transition will not be too difficult and that Sarah will continue to grow and thrive in our home and family. We are so grateful to her birth parents and know what a difficult decision they made, we wish them peace and comfort always.

The long awaited package delivered by FedEx

Wednesday, December 31 the FedEx man brought our package containing Sarah's actual photos and her medical report along with the papers we needed to fill out to send back to Great Wall China Adoption. I anxiously waited and waited for them to be delivered, finally at 3:30 the truck pulled up. The driver was a little surprised as he saw me run out the door and start taking pictures. I explained he was my stork and he was delivering very important papers.
